The Soldier's Medal (US)

Soldier's Medal

The Soldier's Medal is awarded to any person who, while serving in any capacity with the United States Army, National Guard or organized Reserves that distinguishes themself by heroism not involving actual conflict with an armed enemy. The act of heroism must have meant personal hazard or danger and the voluntary risk of the recipient's life.

This decoration was authorized in July 1926.
